Cows milk affects babies that breastfeed too.

There have been quite a few studies linking cows milk to colic, but often people say this cannot be correct since breastfed babies also get colic. Well now a study says that if mother drinks cows milk, it gets through to the breast milk and effects baby as well.

The study was not a large study, but the results were quite overwhelming. 66 mothers that had colicky babies and that breastfed were taken off any cows milk products, and 35 of the babies that had colic, not only improved but disappeared.

You can read the article yourself here: Cow’s Milk Proteins Cause Infantile Colic in Breast-Fed Infants

I did not have access to the full report, but that is enough data to sway me to believing. However as usual I take this study with a grain of salt as I don’t know the motives of the study, and all the details.
