Another study recommends parent training for colic
Article by Connecticut School of Medicine says that in most cases colic can be treated with education and coaching. This is particularly surprising since it is from a pediatric gastroenterologist’s perspective. I would have expected a stomach doc to prescribe some sort of acid reducing drug.
It also goes on to say that sometimes it can be gastrointestinal problems. But again this is to be expected as it is written from the perspective of a pediatric gastroenterologist.

As you may have read in my other articles I believe that to fix colic you can directly treat the crying itself, the other cures’ results are minor when you can stop the crying. Another article and study says something similar “parent training key to colic““
